Paros Restaurant Recommendations
Hi. I will be visiting Paros, staying near Naoussa. Looking for restaurant recommendation in Naoussa as well as other great finds around the island, including Antiparos. We will have a car for the week. We love traditional Greek food with great ambience -- outside and on the water/beach. Not looking for super fancy.

Christiana, on the NE coast.
We just did heavy appetizers, but everything was good, & the view is awesome. Markakis - Piso Livadi Paros A little further south. Larger menu, a little more upscale, but still casual and great location. https://goo.gl/maps/fQyMTP9UeoWQFZjx9 https://g.page/Markakisrestaurant?share |
Antiparos has many new restaurants since I was last there, but I can recommend some traditional family-run tavernas. These places are mainly open in the evening, but there are many other cafes serving breakfast and lunch.
My favourite is Taverna Yorgis, about half way up between the harbour and kastro square on the main street. Yorgis is very popular, and tables are placed on both sides of the street. Yorgis has display cases between the kitchen and inside seating area with items prepped for the evening. I never order off the menu, and Yorgis is happy to take your order inside and bring it to your outside table. It’s much nicer to see the food before you order, especially fresh fish, because you can select the one you want. https://www.greece.com/photos/destinations/Cyclades/Antiparos/Port/Antiparos/Taverna_Yorgis,_Antiparos/671500 Another favourite is Pavlos Place, located just off the main street in Hotel Galini. Yorgis and Pavlos are related, part of an Antiparos family who live on the island year round. https://pavlosplace.com/the-restaurant/ There are a couple of other restaurants I can recommend if you would rather eat on the harbour. Anargyros is across the street from the main fishing boat and excursion dock, and Pantelis Fish Taverna located at the far end of the harbour in Sunday Hotel. Also on the harbour, if you are interested in Italian food, is Lollo’s. All the restaurants I’ve mentioned are in a small area within easy walking distance of the landing craft ferries that run back to Paros until the wee hours of the morning. They run to Pounta, a little port about 15 minutes by bus, taxi or car from Parikia. It wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Vicky’s Ice Cream, which has delicious homemade gelatos. That’s one of my favourite after dinner stops. https://vickys.gr/en/ |
