Parking Rocamadour
 

Is it best to park below Rocamadour or park in L'Hospitalet to visit Rocamadour? How long is the walk from L'Hospitalet?

We parked in L'Hospitalet (large parking lot there). We walked down to the church and lower town from there. It was an easy walk down. Switchbacks take you down an easy path through a beautiful green forest with stations of the cross along the path. There is also an elevator that you can take down but we preferred to walk. We also walked back up and didn't find it difficult at all.

There is NO parking below Rocamadour. In the town there are a few spaces for hotels, but none for visitors.

Lots of room in l'hospitalet. You can walk directly down from there to the church, and on to the town. However, the view of Rocamadour itself is the best part
