Parking in Alhambra for two days

I could only get tickets for Alhambra June 10th at 5:00 pm. Rather than driving to the Hotel (booked at Gran Via 44) I would like to leave the car in Alhambra for 2 days. I think it is possible but am not sure of the cost. Has anyone done it?

We drove to Granada, but did not want to drive into the city (and were glad that we made the decision). We were coming from the north. Before the trip, I located a parking garage within a block or two of the autostrada. We parked there for our time in the city, and walked to the hotel from the garage (the walking part was a bit of a mistake - we should have gotten a taxi). It worked out very well for us.

Lexma,

we are coming from the south and your tip to look for a garage outside of the city is a good one. I will look into it. Thank you.

I think the parking charge at Alhambra is around 19 euro maximum per day.

I doubt your car is secure overnight in the Alhambra parks. I am pretty certain I could access it.

Alec,
yes, it seems like 19 euros per day.

WomBatt,

funny.. Seriously, Alhambra advertises 24 hour security, but again that may not mean much.

Parking in Alhambra was recommended by one of the tourist sites I came across. They seem to discourage tourists driving into the city. That is all I know.

A lot of people use Alhambra lot for overnight parking, esp those staying in hotels on the hill whose guests get a discount on charges. It has 24-hour CCTV surveillance and the area is generally quiet and safe.

Alec,

you made my day. That is one concern I do not have to worry about.
