Parishuttle

I used this service last June when I went to France with my husband and two children. I am returning to Paris in a couple weeks with my mother and wanted to know if anyone has a more recent experience with Parishuttle. Last year I contacted Marc at Parishuttle and he offered a discount to fodorites. I understand that he frequented this message board. I have not heard anything lately about Marc and whether the service is still as reliable as it was last summer. Your input and suggestions would be welcome. We are two people and are staying on Ile St.Louis. Thank you.

i used parishuttle in april (no discount though). we followed their instructions, and they were right on time and where they said they would be upon arrival and departure. i was a little concerned since they charged my credit card ahead of time, but luckily it all worked out fine.

Just used them 3 weeks ago. No problem with the pick up, I had booked online and paid via paypal. When I called to make my arrangements for departure there was some misunderstanding about if I'd paid both ways or not (I had) and the man I spoke with was a bit rude. I was firm with him and he said they'd figure it out when the office opened (this was Sun). They picked me up right on time, called the office once it opened to verify the payment and there was no problem.

I would use them again, but my journey was a bit more roundabout.

Last October. I found the van , no prob.
but then we sat for about 20 mins, until someone came up and spoke to the driver.
We then drove to another section of the airport!! where I had to exchange vehicles with travelers in another van.
Only then did we proceed.
the rest of the trip into the city was uneventful.
comnsidering the cost, it is worth it.

I used Parishuttle two weeks ago (again, no discount), based on what I had read here. Made reservations online, and somehow picked up the flight number of my returning flight, rather than my arriving flight, so they were no longer there when I was. However, a call from the information desk at CDG straightened out the mix-up, and the van was at the airport in ten minutes.

A taxi for 2 is about the same as the shuttle with no hassle.

I thought that taxis were noticeable more expensive than the shuttle, how much does the shuttle cost? Does it take you directly to your hotel? I am going the end of May, which is cheaper and which is more convient?

Paris shuttle is 18 euros each for 2 to 3 passengers. I've used the shuttle during two trips without incident.

Used PariShuttle two weeks ago; everything went as planned. I did ask in my email for the discount but didn't get it. If Marc is still there, perhaps you have to call and actually speak to him. It was only one Euro each trip anyway, but it helped towards the tip for the drivers.

It used to be that you could email Mark Harris who would give you a discount and make your reservation. And you didn't have to prepay; you paid at your destination. Maybe Mark has left Parishuttle.

I was thinking about using this service. Can anyone supply the website address? And any idea how long a drive it would be from Charles DeGaulle airport to the Louvre (our hotel is across the Seine from there, so a point of reference.) Last trip to Paris we took the RER. It was very easy, and didn't cost much, about 90 francs. How does the prices compare?
