I'll take temps in the low 50's(F) over the mid 90's any day of the year!

We just arrived home from France a couple days ago. I swear the weather changed every 2 minutes. We are from OR though, so didn't think it was cold at all. The rain, well we are used to that too, but it was much more humid than we are used to.

Of course we arrive home and now have a heat wave here! How I wish I were back in France!

My daughter and I were in Paris in June of 2005, and we nearly roasted to death! All of Europe was experiencing a huge heat wave (it was 85 degrees when we were in London!) and we were sweating the entire trip! The weather is just not predictable and there are always natural changes in weather patterns.

When hearing about how unusually cold/wet this summer has been, I've been thinking that I would actually prefer that to the really hot days we experienced last summer.

I would rather be layering clothes to stay warm while walking about and touring sites than sweating and ducking for every bit of shade when it's hot.

30C (86F) is quite normal for July in Paris, I'd say.
