Paris with 5-year-old - lodging suggestions?

Hi all,

I am planning a spring break trip to London and Paris with my husband and 5-year-old daughter. Any suggestions for lodging in Paris? We'll only be there about 3-4 days so I'm thinking a hotel might work better than an apartment. We'd love to be within walking distance of city attractions. Thanks!!

There are lots of great possibilities. What is your budget?

Our family liked the Hotel de la Bourdonnais in the 7th. It could be a good choice for you, too, because: you can get a family room with a view of the Eiffel Tower (I think room 403); there's a little market right next door with snacks, drinks, etc.; the Champs de Mars is across the street so your little one can run around and you can picnic. It's in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The Rue Cler is a couple of blocks away. There's an ATM on the corner, and easy access to public transit.

My wife and I liked the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles http://www.hotel-grandes-ecoles.com/
It's near the Pantheon and not far from the Luxembourg Gardens.

I'd say our budget is mid-range - around $200-250 USD per night...

We stayed in an apartment -- can't beat the ability to put a child to bed and have adult time! (our kids go to bed at 7:30pm).

We stayed in the 1st - near Palais Royal. We loved walking through Palais Royal on the way home each afternoon and jumping on the black and white concrete pillars. Here is our trip report: (with a few photos)

Anyway, there is a Citadines apartment hotel right around the corner -- near Palais Royal, the Louvre. While I haven't stayed there, I would like the separate bedroom and kitchen facilities.

good luck!

HI K,

We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. From 128E dbl w/bkfst. It is located near 3 metro stops. Has AC and an elevator.

They will supply a crib.
