Paris--Which Monoprix has the biggest selection of cosmetics?

We purchased some Bourjois cosmetics and men's fragrance on our last visit, but we won't be near the store we went to last time. Which are the biggest stores that would be easy to get to from my location on rue du Cardinal Lemoine in the 5th, or while I am near les grandes magasins on my "shopping afternoon"?

I don't know about the cosmetics specifically, but the store where rue de Rennes meets blvd St Germain seemed very large. And there's a largish one on ave des Champs Elysees...also a very large Sephora.

There's a store finder on the www.monoprix.fr site. Paris is "département 75" and then you choose the appropriate arrondissement.
In terms of the departement store area (boulevard Haussmann), there is a Monoprix on rue Caumartin, right behind Printemps, and another big one on avenue de l'Opéra.

It might help to know that Monoprix, Galeries Lafayette and BHV are all the same company.

Even better for cosmetics in that area is The Cite Pharmacie, on the corner of rue Bonaparte and rue du Four..great selections and sensational prices. Roc hand creaam that I pay $15.00 for here is 3 € there. Colognes are about 1/2 to 1/3 less than in the US

Hi B,

Ditto Jody.

You will be about 1.5 km from it.

Thanks for the suggestions--I'll check out the Cite Pharmacie as well as the Monoprix. It just happens that my DH found a Bourjois men's cologne that we both like, and it was not sold in the states at Sephora(they do carry a lot of Bourjois products, but not that one, at least here).

All of the Monoprix have a pretty good selection of cosmetics, I think, except for the really old, dumpy ones. The one on the Champs-Elysees has
enough, as well as the one on rue de Rennes. Those are the closest. YOu can buy that brand about anywhere, though, it's nothing special or specific to Monoprix. YOu can buy it in all the dept. stores, I think, like BHV, Bon Marche, etc.

i was in this Monoprix a few weeks ago to get some food and was surprised at the number of cosmetics stands i had to navigate around to get out.
