Paris: Wheelchair Accessible Apartment

I am looking to book a wheelchair accessible, 2 bedroom apartment in Paris for 1 week for under 1400 euro. Our dates are flexible as it is necessary to find accommodations that are wheelchair accessible. I've haven't been to Paris since a college backpacking trip 10 years ago. I found this apartment on VRBO in the 3rd that seems to be a good fit and I would appreciate any feedback regarding the location, etc.

Or, maybe you have experience with a wheelchair accessible apartment that you could recommend? We would prefer to be close to a convenient bus line.

Many thanks!

If you're in the U.S., you could call the people at vacationinparis.com They might be able to help you. It's a very good company.

Oops...my question must not have been clear. I have found an apartment (VRBO #166715), but am not sure about the location. It is on Place des Vosges in the 3rd. Is anyone familiar with this area? Would it be a convenient base for a week long stay?

Place des Vosges? Oh, yes, you'll like the location.

Hi Joygerm,
Please report back to us on the accessibility of the apartment or any other that you may choose.

The location sounds wonderful. With wheelchair, we have taken buses to that area and loved to roll around.

The Place des Vosges is rightly considered one of the most beautiful urban squares anywhere in Europe. There must be gazillions of photos on the internet, but here are a couple of not so good video clips I've taken over the years:

Coming out of the square, the pavements (sidewalks) are rather narrow, but level to the west (towards the chic shops of the Marais, again along streets with narrow pavements, getting quite crowded at the weekends) and south (to the main road, rue St Antoine leading to rue de Rivoli, which more or less level all the way across Paris). To the east (towards Blvd Beaumarchais), they are uphill.

It is generally a pretty posh area.

Your nearest buses would be the 76, along rue St Antoine, and the 96, which has stops on rue de Turenne and rue des France-Bourgeois quite close to the Place des Vosges. You can check the routes on the interactive RATP map:
