Paris Weather Today

If anyone is interested, The weather in Paris has been more normal these past few days, in the 70's, shirtsleeve weather, and sweater weather at night, a BIG difference from last week, when we all were in HEAVY jackets.

Just some info for those worried about the weather for an upcoming trip.

Do the French have a term for "Indian Summer" (and i know that's perjorative but can't think of how else to convey the term)

Thanks for that. I'll be i Paris from the 23-30th of this mont and in a quantery about what to wear whatcha think? Light or heavy?

The French call Indian summer "été indien". The weather this week does not quite qualify, because "été indien" is totally pleasant and the current weather is not quite completely sunny yet somewhat muggy due to the humidity.

Based on reports from last week, DW brought both gloves and earmuffs. Today we walked around in short sleeves all day. We only slipped our jackets on when we left Petit Prince at about 10:30 pm. Kerouac is right in that it spits rain on occasion, and is rather muggy --but it seems to hover around 70 f. in the daytime.

Come on in, the water's fine!

:-)

Light layers are the key.
