Paris weather in September

I am re-thinking an apartment that I booked for Sept when I found out it had no A/C. My fault: pics looked like there was, but actually unit only has a fan- didn't ask prior to reservation (Sept 15-22)

When I google Paris weather, I come up with average highs in mid-70s, with evenings around the 50s. This seems reassuring, but I have also read somewhere that temp trends seem to be increasing in the last years, so above data may be from before 2000.

Any Paris natives/regulars care to share their thoughts....

We were there on Sept 15 last year for 4 days. It was hot. I never even wore a light jacket at night. I think I might have slept comfortably with just a fan, but we didn't have one.

I always think of September in Paris as being one of the hottest months.

Sometimes it isn't.

We were in Paris last year September 12-24. Weather was quite warm to quite hot, but the breezes were cooler. Our apartment did not have a/c, just a fan, and no cross ventilation (all the windows were on one side). It faced west and was very hot with the afternoon sun shining. Mornings were fine, and evenings, once the sun set, but I don't think temps were as low as 50 (probably mid-low 60's). But, the apartment was too hot for relaxing in the afternoon (inside or on the balcony), even changing/getting dressed up for dinner. We're staying in the same apartment this September, but they've added a/c.

But, you never know with Paris weather. We've been in September when it was chilly throughout our stay.

Our first visit there, at the end of Sept.2002, it was in the 50's during the day.

We were there at the end of September last year and it was totally pleasant (aside from a rainy day). I wore a light jacket most of the time. Our hotel had no A/C and we were fine. We did have a fan in the room, but never used it. I suppose some of it depends on how tolerant you are of the inability to totally control your environment.

thanks for all your input...historical averages are nice, but some man-on-the-street experiences are always very helpful.

Anyhow, we've decided not to gamble with the weather and found a new place with A/C....
