How is the weather in Paris around mid-March, generally? Thanks!

I can be more specific; we spent 11 days there 2 Marchs ago. If our experience was anything like the norm (we were also there once in the end of Feb.), come prepared with an umbrella, warm clothes you can layer (many places are extremely overheated), gore-tex shoes so your feet don't get wet, silk longjohns, hats and gloves. We had a good time but weather definitely wasn't springlike. We may have seen one or two spring flowers blooming but that was it. Nonetheless, we were out and about all the time walking all around. We never did sit outside in a sidewalk cafe thouh we saw others doing the same.

At this precise moment in Paris, the temperature at night is the normal temperature for the month of June -- 12°C.

Unfortunately, the temperature during the day is the same 12°C -- but that is still much warmer than what it "should" be.

I will just say that it is unlikely that temperatures will be above 25°C (but I have seen it) or below 5°C (but I have seen it).

(I was talking about March in my last sentence, of course.)

Thank you very much, everyone.

I was there last March and it was freezing with rain and snow! Two years before that I was there at the same time (around St. Patrick's day) and it was sunny and warm and in the 70's F. People were walking around with tube tops! You just never know. This year I'm going late March (23rd through April 3) and I'll be prepared for anything.

I was there last March and it was fabulous until my last day when it hailed..in all seriousness, it is one of those months in Paris which is least predictable (along with October through early November). Layer and paln for anything.
