Paris Walks tours

I want to take a few friends on one of the Paris Walks and I'm torn between the Islands and the Marais tour and Hemingway's Paris. Has anyone taken either of these tours? If you've taken any of the other walks that you would recommend, please let me know. I want to choose something that will be a hit for the group. There will be 4 of us....all women in our 50s.

thanks for your help

I've taken most of their walks and they're all good. It really depends on what interests your group so I would base my decision on that. I preferred the Marais to Hemingway but that's because I have more personal interest in the history of The Marais than Hemingway's Paris.

We also liked the Montmartre tour.

I've taken about a dozen of their walks and have enjoyed them all. I preferred the Hemingway walk over the Marais just because it was about Hemingway.

They've changed their walks over the years. I took a walk that focused on Ile de la Cite which is no longer on their agenda. There's two walks about the islands; I think the one called The Two Islands looks more interesting.

Paris Walks tours are all very good. The one you choose depends on your interests as FrenchMystique says, above. What would be fun is to take a walk of the neighborhood you're staying in which you can do with Paris Walks if you're in the 4, 5, or 6 arrondissement.

Since you're interested in tours (from your other thread) I can highly recommend the free Notre Dame tour on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours and covers ND from the outside and inside. It's given by knowledgeable volunteers.

I did both of the Marais tours and enjoyed them. Also Ile st Louis. Found that one a bit 'dry' but liked what we saw.

I've taken about six or seven of the walks and all have been interesting. Also, I highly recommend the Fat Bike Tours and I'm older than you. Loved them.
