Paris Visitors Pass
4 adults spending 10 days in Paris in Sept. Has anyone used the "Paris Visitor's Pass" for 6 days. I am wondering if it is worth the money and would appreciate any advice regarding the Pass. Also, whatever help you can give with obtaining economical airfare during that time of year and how far in advance should you book your reservations. We are looking to stay at the Hotel Lutetia or Hotel Concorde. Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels and what is your opinion. Many thanks for whatever help you can give....Carol

I just bought our tickets from Jacksonville-Paris for $755 each ticket (total) from 1800flyeurope.com, also for September. Next closest I've seen to that was USAir for $959 on their website. Everything else has been $1000-1100.
Are you referring to the Paris Visite transportation pass? If so, we can advise better once we know your actual dates b/c there is another option that is cheaper but only runs Monday-Sunday, rather than "3 days" or "6 days". For your reference, here is a site with tickets/passes pricing: http://www.transport-idf.com/frontal...itresTransport I think there is more than one Hotel Concorde? (Lafayette, Montparnasse...other?) Have you also looked at reviews at Tripadvisor? |
I think the Paris Tourist Office sells some kind of special package, or used to, but on the other hand, a lot of travel agencies or online for-profit servicers call the Paris Visite a "Paris Visitors Pass".

Hi C,
>...how far in advance should you book your reservations.< NOW. Sept is a big month for conventions in Paris. ((I)) |
I just purchased tickets N/S from WDC Dulles to Paris for 7 days in May on Air France--$565 per person, including all taxes and fees. I booked with Air France directly--found this fare on Travelzoo.com.
