Paris Visite for two days - worth it?

We will be in Paris for two days. We plan on taking a day trip to Versailles on one day. Montmarte at night. The second day we will hit some of the major sights of Paris -- Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame ..... No museums. We did that on our last visit. I need help in evaluating whether we should buy the Paris metro card for two days (cost for two days is $44 per person). Is it worth it? Will the two of us need $88 worth of transportation by the Paris Metro in two days?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Not if you leave the metro.

NOT at ALL worth it. Please. Just buy a carnet for about $10 and divvy it up among your group. You'll have to pay a bit for the train to Versailles.

You'd have to do an enormous amount of traveling--and I do mean enormous--in two days to make the $44 expenditure worth doing.

Paris Viste simply isn't worth it . . . except to the Paris Metro system. Follow the advice above and get a carnet of 10 tickets. You can purchase the RER tickets to Versailles separately and use the carnet for the rest of your travel.

If you have tickets left in your carnet, you can use them on future trips. If you don't use your Paris Viste pass, it is useless at the end of the two day pass.

Have a great two days in Paris.
