"Paris Vacation Apartments" -

Has anyone rented from them? http://www.parisvacationapartments.com/ It was just recommended and the apartments on the website look beautiful and well located. Anyone has experience or comments? Thanks.

Yes, I rented the efficiency on rue Cortot in Montmartre.

They are excellent, you pay them in $$$, and they were very good in setting up reservations, etc. I would definitely rent from them again. I'm amazed that their price hasn't gone up in several years. ((b))

Paris Vacation Apartments is great. We have clients that use them all the time, the best apartments in Montmartre and Palais Royal. If you're on a budget, they do offer studios on rue Lepic or rue Cortot that aren't too pricey at all.

I used them last year for the Ste. Catherine apartment (GREAT) and this year we will be staying in a studio in the 3rd. They were great to deal with and best of all you are paying in dollars and if you like can use a credit card. They sent us our keys ahead of time; no need to meet anyone in Paris. I highly recommend them. They are located in NJ and very responsive to emails and phone calls.

We're staying in one of their apartment in May. Our arrangements were made smoothly, and they've sent us loads of information in advance.

Do a search here or on slowtrav. They have had good recommendations. Check the calendar for the apartment you're interested in. They seem to book up quite a bit in advance.

We stayed there in June and it was unbelievable. There were 7 of us in the 3 bedroom Palais Royal apartment, and it was amazing in every way. The location! Hearing the fountain outside the french doors. The decoration is beautiful. Three bedrooms with en suite baths, full kitchen, powder room, dining room with seating for eight... We all talk about it all the time. I have been looking at comparably-sized places and they don't hold a candle.

All emails were promptly answered, they arranged for an airport pick-up, and were available for recommendations, etc., with no problems. Even though we had left a week earlier and were staying at a hotel now, they helped with the follow-through for a return van to the airport.

Did it cost a lot? Well, we figured $200/night per couple, which is about the rate for a hotel room... without the experience of eating and relaxing together in the large common space. We considered it one of the best investments in a vacation, bar none.

If you decide to get the Palais Royal two bedroom, try to get the third floor unit. I saw it and it's great.

(Can you tell I liked it? Sigh).
