"Regarding your question, we only have winter air conditioning facilities." So I e-mailed them for clarification! :D

Just received a negative for the Hotel des Blois.

Negative replies received from Village Hostel, Young & Happy Youth Hostel, Hotel des 3 Colleges. Just wanted to add that I already know that Hotel Degres de Notre Dame & Jeanne D'Arc do not have a/c.

I got a negative response re air conditioning from Hotel Champ de Mars a couple weeks ago.

Hotel du Champ de Mar - be careful families, the rooms are EXTREMELY small. But, the hotel is in a nice, quiet, safe area. I would be hesitant to pack a family into one room - yikes!

This is a great site - although a year old.

We are looking for a triple room in the 5th, 6th or 7th.

We're looking for A/C, non smoking, shower and true beds (not cot). Would love charm and perhaps a view.

Our price range has expanded since I first posted earlier this month - up to 170Euros -
($200) of course we prefer to spend less (more money then for meals, tours, etc.).

I've been writing to hotels, some with replies, some without. It has been hard to get a second email answered with specific room questions.

I did post Paris Hotel info here earlier... but, finding this specific triple thread, I thought I'd post again and see what I find out :-)

SO - if anyone has stayed in a triple and can recommend, I'd much appreciate.

Or, if you stayed somewhere and I should write and inquire about a triple, I'd appreciate that too.

For when did you need a room? I booked our room probably in January for July. We are staying in a triple (3 beds) at Hotel Muguet for 140 euros. We are also staying for 3 nights in the 17th at Hotel Banville for 180 (triple room). Many of the hotels are having special rates for August.

A great hotel in the 10th is the Francais Hotel. Close to the Gare de l'Est, about 10 minutes from Montmare, close to buses and underground. Go to site through Venere. Stayed there for 5 days in 2003--had a triple. Our room faced the street and had a little balconey. Area is bussling during the day and night too. Several small restaurants around the corner. Was about 130-140 euros per night for the triple---ac included!! Check it out just for the info--you just might find you like it! Oh yes, all ensuite and nicely furnished, decent size rooms. Address is 13 Rue du 8 Mai 1945 75010 Paris. 8 euros bought a great breakfast. Entire hotel (what I saw) was very clean, neat, and nicely appointed. Multilingual, friendly staff and desk personnel. Have any of you stayed there yet?

Our family of four was quite comfortable at the Hotel la Bourdonnais, on a tree-lined boulevard in the 7th. We even had a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Ask about room 503. The hotel has a lift and A/C. It is charming and in a great location, walking distance to the Tower, Les Invalides, and Rue Cler around the corner. A small grocery market next door, too. No mini-bar in the room, though. Breakfast was an additional 11 EU, I think, but we always walked to Rue Cler instead.

I just stayed in a triple at the Hotel Muguet, actually two different rooms ( #41 and #51) end of May and middle of June. My two friends and I were very pleased with the rooms. They had two beds in a normal sized room and a third real bed in an alcove. Two good sized closets and a fairly large bathroom with tub and shower. And we had a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower from both rooms. I don't think you can beat it for the price (140 euros).

Only problem, To_Paris, if you're looking for this summer, I'd be very surprised if these rooms were still available. Good luck!

Ronda, I hope you enjoy your stay at the Muguet as much as we did.

We just returned from Paris ( family with 2 teenagers). After research I concluded two rooms for the four of us gave us the most for our money- we stayed at the Hotel de College du France on Thenard near Sorbonne which is in the Latin Quarter. The two rooms in this small hotel gave us one double and two twins, two bathrooms, right across the hall from each other. The rate was 92 Euro per room. The location was great, near several metro stops, defintely within walking distnce of all major sites, and a wonderful bistro right across the street, as well as shops for pastry, butcher, wine shop all within a few blocks.

Have a look also at Hotel paris Bercy, a 1 star hotel that have triple rooms for about 72 euros...Hotel is very clean, located in the 12th near Bastille area, staff management is helmful and friendly...Metro stop is Daumesnil, there are 2 metro lines passing there...
Not too touristy area...I found it great!

In June, we stayed at the Hotel Le Clement in the 6th. We had a nice triple (the third bed was in a separate small room). Thankfully, there was A/C, as Paris was in the middle of a heat wave. The room was very attractively decorated with toile on the walls. The hotel is right off Blvd. St. Germaine, but was on a very quiet street. Our room was 145 euros. We really liked it and will stay there again.

Yes it does. It is one of those "small" kind that two people or one person plus a big suitcase fit into.
