Paris Trip Report/Blog - "Lunch with Gordon Ramsay" Food Photos

I added an entry to my Paris trip blog with photos of our lunch at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant at the Trianon Palace Hotel in Versailles.

If you're going to be in Versailles and you want a very special meal, this is an experience you won't forget.

Plan on 2 1/2 - 3 hours for a leisurely meal in a lovely room. Then you can visit the Chateau gardens and walk off the calories.

The meal was 75 euro per person without wine. (And you must have wine!). It exceeded my expectations.

Has anyone else on the forum lunched with Gordon Ramsay? I'd be interested in how your meal compared.

No but I did eat a Jean Georges and that was nice, I am going to Paris and will be eating their.

Julie,
Just had a look at your photos, the meal looks spectacular. I wish I could eat that much, I think I'd be sick half way through. I just don't eat that much food and all those courses....OMG.

What a wonderful memory you have.

What a fantastic report! My DH and I were at Chateau Versailles in July and both said we loved the town and would like to stay a couple of days there next time while in Paris. Now we know where to stay and where to eat. Merci beaucoup!

Thanks, everyone for your replies.

I'm still thinking about this meal. I expected it to be a formulaic lunch, but it was creative and well-prepared.

Fortunately the courses were not large, and we shared the cheese and dessert. What surprised me was the dishes that weren't on the menu. Each of them was a welcome delight.

I'm not a foodie, and this lunch was worth the money for the experience. Go to Versailles and give it a try!
