Hi lyban,

Thank you so much for the fabulous trip report!

My husband and I are considering the Rivoli apartment, as well. How did you like the immediate surroundings of the apartment? Cafes, bistros, shops, bakeries, bars, etc.?

Were there any other apartments you were considering in addition to this one?

Our trip will be in March of next year. The 10th to the 16th. I have heard that it can be very cold and rainy then. Did you find the weather to be a nuisance or an impediment while you were there? We love to walk, walk, walk.

Thanks again!

Tara

tarajane,

We loved the area that the Rivoli apartment is in. Everything outside your door. We also considered this apt. on Bourg Thibourg which is about a 3 min. walk from where we were.

My daughter rented the Bourg Thibourg one and also loved it. It is a little bit more expensive but has a seperate bedroom and more space but no balcony like the Rivoli one. In my opinion you cannot beat the location of either one.
We were there from March 19 to 29 and the weather was cool and rainy for the first 4 days and quite nice the last 4-5 days. But when I had checked weather before we left the week prior to our stay in Paris was very nice the whole week with sun and highs of about 65-68.

The weather did not impede us at all. We just walked and got a little wet. No big deal. When you are seeing such beautiful sights, you don't even notice. That said, I come from Montreal so am used to a bit of cold but maybe if you are from a warm climated area it would bother you.
