Paris train station help

Our train from Amsterdam arrives at the Nord station. We will take another train from the Montparnasse station. What is the best way to get to Montaparnasse from Nord? We have approximately 2 hours between trains. There are 4 adults, each with only carry-on type luggage. Thanks.

It's a 17-minute ride on Métro Ligne 4.

Take metro line 4 (direction Porte d'Orleans) directly from Gare du Nord to Gare Montparnasse.

Thanks! Sounds easy enough.

Well, the Montparnasse - Bienvenue station is still a fair walk from the train station part.

If you have only carry-on luggage, you should be able to do it without hardship.
Just make sure you board a train heading in the right direction.

And beware of anyone pretending to read the route map over the doorway. That is a favorite ploy of pickpockets. As you board, the pretender bumps into you and fingers your pockets.

Those guys or gals are very slick at what they do. Afterall, they are professionals.
