Are you referring to the French Government Tourist Office? If so, then there are four phone numbers:
1) New York (212) 838-7800
2) Chicago (312) 751-7800
3) Beverly Hills, CA (310) 271-6665
4) General info. (410) 286-8310

Email address: www.franceguide.com

I usually contact Tourist bureaus to have them send me brochures and maps. The French site mentioned above is the only one that's been a complete waste of time, AND they charge a fee (OK, it's only $4, but it's the principle) Info sent was heavy on advertisments, light on useful info. Plus they must sell the e-mail addresses they collect. I got tons of French spam stuff. Don't bother.

This message is for Liz. What you say is not totally true. You did not mention that the French Government Tourist Office charges $4.00 if you wish to receive your brochures within 3-4 days. If you don't mind waiting to receive the brochures within a couple of weeks the order is FREE.

Get your facts straight before you criticize.

Dear xxx, I stand corrected.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the French tourism site has two choices:

$4 crap in a few days, or free crap in a couple of weeks. Lots of junk e-mails icluded at no extra charge, either way. Of course, xxx will say it was my decision to give them my e-mail address...
