kygirl makes an excellent point. Touring a place is very different than residing there when it comes to the temps and/or humidity. When you live somewhere, you accommodate what you are doing to the weather conditions and lay low when it gets too hot. If you only have a limited time in Paris, even though you may lounge in the parks and linger at cafes, you probably still have places you want to see that require a greater output of effort than you would do at home in such heat.
No wonder I always think of Paris (Rome and Berlin for that matter too!) as such incredibly hot places. Like kygirl, I also found myself sweating through the capitals of Europe! :)
