Two earlier threads on this forum will help you, "Night train Venice to Paris", 08/03 at 20:46, and "Night train from Paris to Milan". 08/01 at 23.30.

Point to point tickets may be cheaper bthan a Eurosavcer pass: see ttp://freespace.virgin.net/markgideon.smith/Italy.htm#The
night trains from Paris to Italy.../

A couchette is a berth in a 4-berth or 6-berth compartment, a seat is a seat, and a sleeper is a berth in a 2-berth sleeper, with your own washbasin, and either v](normal) a toilet down the corridor or (Excelsior) a toilet and shower en suite.

From Paris to Venice by night is a direct trip with no change of train. By day you change at Milan.

These trains are thoroughly safe.

Please write if I can help further.

Ben Haines, london

Cris, it looks like you need some basic information. I topped a thread called "Railpass tips & usful sites"

Certainly not a seat: you arrive next morning groggy and unfit for tourism. I recommend berths in 3-berth sleepers, if you can afford them, then second choice berths in a four berth couchette, and finlly berths in a six berth couchette, which is crowded.
