Paris to Nice TGV question

Does anyone know what stops the Paris-Nice TGV train makes before Nice? We are thinking of skipping the Nice part of our trip and I was going to see if we could get off in Avignon or in some location in Provence. It was so much work getting the tickets and they were pretty cheap so I am hoping I can just use them to get down to southern France without having to find out about refunds and getting new tickets.

On the actual TGV high speed part of the line it stops Valence, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille.

Trains at different times of the day may make different stops. Check the German Rail site for the particular train for which you have tickets.

Musicteacher's advice is right on. For example, some direct TGVs stop in Avignon and some stop in Aix-en-Provence. After you get summary timetables on the DB site, click on "Details for all." Then click on "Show intermediate stops" for the departure time of your choice.

I am having problems figuring out the German train site. Is there an english version? I can't even figure out where to get French train information since I know no German!

there is a little box on the right hand side to switch to english.

The "little box" is a drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner. The default choice is "Deutsch" (German).

Or you can go straight to the English on the German Rail site with this longer URL:
