Paris to Madrid by train

We don't want to take the overnight train. We arrive at CDG Airport and plan to take a train from the Airport to Bordeaux and stay 2 nights. Then travel by train to Madrid. Can anyone tell me an easy site to find timetables and prices for the trains we would need.

timetables can be found at the French or German rail web sites

www.sncf.fr or
www.bahn.de (English site available)

or you can try
www.raileurope.com (will let you buy tix)

With a 2 night stay in Bordeaux, I would check out timetables before I left the US but wait till I arrived in Bordeaux to buy my tickets to Madrid.

Hi P,

It's about 13 hr on the train. Are you sure you don't want the night train?

You are talking about an 11+ hour trip from Bordeaux and a 13+ hour trip from Paris (using the night train) and there are no direct budget flights from BOrdeaux to Madrid.

You might consider taking a train up to Poitiers (backtracking a bit) from Bordeaux to catch the Euronight there or re-think the whole plan.

So 24 hours total train travel time for what the OP describes?
