Paris to Brussels: how long?

Anyone know how long it takes by train or car to go from Paris to Brussels? Thanks.

By car about 3 1/2 hours if you don't encounter excessive commercial traffic, detours or inclement weather.

Take the train, so easy!

Thanks, all. We actually ARE planning to take the train when we head to Brussels from Paris. However, the relatives we are visiting in Brussels suggested getting together before the appointed day and I was trying to figure out if either we or they could "pop over" to see each other easily.

Another bit of news from this fall is that Thalys now has trains from CDG Airport as well as Paris North. So if you are flying into CDG, you can catch
the Thalys there. It also cuts the time
to about 1:15.

Bon voyage,
Jerry

Do you know how much a rdtp. train ticket costs Paris-Brussels?

Check out raileurope.com for schedules and prices.

Try http://www.thalys.com/uk/ind_uk.htm
Excellent site. The bullet for NW Europe.

Regarding the suggestion to get pricing info from www.raileurope.com - - beware that the prices litsed there are 15-100% more than you will pay if you buy your ticket in Europe. And that doesn't even count the postage and handling they tack on.
