NO security checks, no check-in, (aside from the Eurostar), just get on the train.>
Spain I have found after the Atocha bombing and numerous Basque terrorist threats often have airline-like security before boarding trains so anyone taking the train from Spain to France should arrive before the actual departure time a bit.
