Paris - Time for Dinner?

What time should we book dinner so that we can hit the clubs? I don't want to eat too early or too late. My gut instinct is 8:00 pm....

Sue---
Thankfully you can eat whenever you want and whenever you can get a reservation, but I have been told several times at Parisian restaurants that I should eat late. Typically, 8:00 pm in Paris is too early for dinner. Usually dinner is taken after 9:00, frequently around 10:00 at night. Since clubs stay open late, you'll still have time.

Most clubs in Paris open around midnight, and don't really get going until about 1 a.m. So I'd say a 10 p.m. dinner would work OK. Otherwise, on a non-club night, 8 p.m. is OK, with 8:30 or 9 p.m. a more "normal" dinner time.

Thank you! We'll shoot for 9:00 and 10:00 as you suggest! We like to fit in and live like the locals as much as possible. I'll also pack some Tums as we aren't accustomed to eating that late. ;-)

Eat when you want to. I haven't found the place yet that will turn down your money.
