paris tgv train question: prem's vs. full-fare?

Hi, I'm trying to book a tgv train ticket from paris to marseilles or avignon. what is the difference between the "prem's" fare and the "full-fare"?

Go to the SNCF site for full schedules and the lowest fares for the TGV. Their fares both first and second class, which is what I expect you're deaing with, include the mandatory seat reservation.

hb,

The difference is flexibility:

full fare can be exchanged/refunded while Prem's are worthless if you can't take the train you originally planned to. There are other fare categories between the two extremes, though. Unfortunately, the fare descriptions on the english version of the SNCF site aren't quite up to date - the Découverte J8/J30 fares have been replaced by Prem's. Here's the link:

Hope this helps,
Andre

hb,
Avignon is an old medieval city, with small narrow streets, and having a car there is not a good idea. You are better off walking and admire the scenery, enjoy the people and the frequent small shows in the plaza .The traffic is horrible despite that the city center is not big.
