After six days in Paris, I realized we had to return, because we didn't see:
--the Musee d'Orsay --the Opera Garnier --even a quarter of the Louvre --the windmills in Montmartre --the Rodin museum --Shakespeare & Co. bookstore --any outdoor markets --the catacombs --the sunset from any good viewing point And we didn't have a picnic, or do much shopping, or eat any macaroons. But yet our six days there were simply packed! I could spend weeks in Paris! Next time I think I'd like to go in November. Something about the bare trees and cloudy skies seems very romantic to me. |
Degas - I'm a bit over weight and any bike tour might be aptly called a "fat bike tour", but I must ask.....is this something special?

Seafox, Fat Tire is the name of the company... :) We took their night tour a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I think it was 26E per person, and for that you get a comfy cruiser bike, a fun English-speaking guide, and, at the end of the ride, a cruise down the Seine with free wine. The entire tour was about four hours. Really memorable experience... www.fattirebiketoursparis.com.

seafox, strass gave you good info. It used to be called Mike's Bike Tours Paris. I've seen them in Paris and it looks like everyone is having a great time. Heard lots of good feedback from friends who have gone on tours with them.

I never did take that fat bike tour.
Anybody been on one lately? |

Good idea from another thread:
Author: stokebailey Date: 12/16/2006, 10:29 am Thanks for asking, Degas. Just reading the replies takes me to a more beautiful place. For big veiws, I am partial to the one across the Seine from the terrace at Musee D'Orsay, up by the clock. Galerie Lafayette rooftop terrace has a cool view of the back of the Opera. |
bookmarking for 2/15/07!
