Moulin Rouge was a horrid trashy tourist trap 20 years ago; I can only imagine it now.
My Paris friends would be mystified if anyone visiting would want to go there. Thin |
Actually, each person has different tastes, and the Moulin Rouge and Lido are as popular as they ever were, if not more, although the clientele has changed a bit -- you might find yourselves in a majority of Chinese and/or Russian tourists these days.

The Internet is littered with sites providing information on Paris activities. For nightlife, the magazine What's On has been around for decades http://www.timeout.com/paris/en/arts...t/moulin-rouge
Here are another couple of big sources. A simple search will turn up more. As Kerouac suggests, there is no such thing as an objective "best". It's up to the individual and spending some time with sites such as these can help you make your mind up. http://en.parisinfo.com/what-to-do-in-paris http://www.parisinsidersguide.com/ |
Thanks for your responses. I will check on those links

Thanks all. I'm the husband. And this is our second visit (went last July). This is great info to sift through. Definitely looking for a show that's got some history (been around). Aside from hitting a show, this will be a bit more of an intimate 7 days in Paris. We felt a bit rushed in wanting to explore and hit the highlights last time. This time we plan on sitting around, exploring less touristy neighborhoods and taking it all in.

OP wasn't looking for theatre

C'mon amandaM. Your motive for digging up a series of old threads is pretty obvious.
