We just returned from Paris and took a dinner cruise on the Seine while we were there. We absolutely loved it. It was a little pricey (about $300 US per couple) but well worth it. The food was so much better than I expected and one of the better meals we had during our stay in Paris. They started us off with a glass of champagne after seating us. With the appetizer / starter we were given a bottle of white wine. With the main entree we were served a bottle of red wine. The sites were beautiful and when we got back to our starting point at the Eiffel Tower, it was not only lit up but also had sparkling lights going off. I was very hesitant about spending so much money for a 3 hour dinner cruise but am very happy my husband insisted. That was money well spent and the experience was amazing.

We enjoyed the Pont Neuf cruises -- and used the 2e coupon from their website. However, my husband disliked the loudness of the loudspeaker commentary during the trip. (Of course, he couldn't see the girl giving the discourse and she was cute). It was fun to hear the history of the different bridges and to know which building you were passing.
After reading a book during the winter (maybe Life of the Seine) re: living in a barge on the Seine I enjoyed taking some pictures that weren't historic or of famous landmarks!

I was really excited to go on the dinner cruise. We got all dress up. something we don't get to do much at home anymore. The food was fine there was live music. The sights were beautiful. It was a once in a lifetime experience we should all be lucky enough to have. The only downside was the couple at tne next table chain smoking throughout the evening.
