Looking for some type of confirmation of the dates for this winter's sales. Any help appreciated.

The dates will not be published before early December. Sales will probably start on January 7.

hi everyone. planning my first trip in winter 09. not that experienced of a traveller, so i saw this thread and i just wanted to ask, when these winter deals do come out, where are the best places to look for them? thanks!

They just regulate the dates in France when merchandise can be sold, it affects almost anything in any store, so it doesn't matter where you shop to find sales. (well, that is retail goods, clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc., it wouldn't affect grocery stores or things like that). So go to any dept store or any store you want. It's just a seasonal clearance sale, basically, we have those in the US constantly, everything is always on sale here every few weeks. So I don't know where you live so maybe dept stores sales are unavailable where you live, but don't expect miracles.
