What day do the sales start this winter in Paris?
Last year they were on Jan 10th, want to make sure we arrive in time. |
Soldes d'hivers 2008 à Paris
L'arrêté n° 2007-330-1 autorisant les ventes en soldes dans le département de Paris du 9 janvier au 16 février 2008 a été publié... ie. between 9 January and 16 February 2008. |
Thank you very much!

Just a thought, not a jab. With the exchange being so bad, what items are a "bargain" in France now?
|
I don't think there is any bargain in Paris...not even for us, people with euro money, just things less expensive than usual LOL
|
kenderina, I'm not a big shopper, but do like a good bargain if one is to be found. With me being so husky (read fat) and buying so much of my clothes at Walmart, the latest french fashion escapes me.

We have been there. The prices are merely outrageous instead of incredible. However, Paris is, as usual, a great place to visit. Enjoy.

Actually if you buy anything French here in the US, It is usually less expensive there. All the LV and french clothes are cheaper there, and on sale, even cheaper.
If you are into antiques, they can be over 50-100% cheaper there. The American dealer buys it there, transports it here, pays duities, then freight to his shop, then usually doubles the price. Pieces I have found trhere are usually at least half as much as here. Granted things are considerably more expensive there now, but relatively speaking they are still cheaper there than here. Anyway I like most things french anyway. |
