Paris restaurants open on Sunday in or near 7th

Hi,

Trying to plan ahead for a late spring trip to Paris. Am staying near Rue Cler. Can you recommend any restaurants in the area that you liked that are open on Sunday evenings? Moderate prices (20-35 Euro, with or without wine). Thank you.

Rob
Le Thoumieux
79, Rue Saint-Dominique, 7th arr.
is only one that is open and should be in your price frame. There are certainly more.
www.thoumieux.fr/resto/f_resto.html

La Fontaine de Mars is also open Sunday [129 rue Saint-Dominique, Tél : 01.47.05.46.44, as is Café du Marché [right on Rue Cler] and La Terasse [right next to the metro station, École Militaire. The latter two are more like cafés. We prefer La Fontaine de Mars over Thomieux -- the former is more intimate and has friendlier service and, we think, better food, the latter is a classic bistro -- both are worth the experience.

Agree totally with sfowler about Thomieux. It is one restaurant we warn people away from. Fontaine de Mars is excellent but make a reservation a day or more in advance, particularly for the week-end. We missed out in October because of that. La Terrasse at the Ecole Militaire Metro stop is a good brasserie. Chez Papa around the corner on Bourdanais (I think) was NOT good when we went in October.
I am pretty sure Bistrot du 7eme on Blvd. Latour Mauborg is open--quite good and basically CHEAP!

Should add--for any other day of the week DO eat at Le Florimond, 19 Lamotte Picquet.
