Paris Restaurants near Station Trocadero
Any suggestions for restaurants near this station? my hotel is near there. Also good bakeries and/or breakfast places would be appreciated. Please include price ranges if you can - thanks!

Assuming you mean the Trocadero metro stop, there are several cafes right there where you can have a meal and enjoy a drop dead gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower.
But you can find better food by heading up the Ave. Raymond Poincare to the Place Victor Hugo area (a five minute walk). Il Convivium is a lively Italian restaurant, very popular with the neighborhood residents, and dinner for two can range from 50 to 100 euros depending on how many courses you order, the wine, etc. You can actually eat there for less. Scossa, also on the Place, is a pretty place to eat for breakfast, if a little pricey. Nice fresh-squeezed orange juice, good coffee. There is (shhhh) a Starbucks very close by to the Place on the Ave. Victor Hugo. You will find several patisseries etc. in the area, including a branch of Lenotre. And there is also a branch of La Maison du Chocolat on the Place Victor Hugo. A wonderful traditional restaurant is Stella, located on the Ave. Victor Hugo. Menu (which can change) with prices and photos at: http://www.bestrestaurantsparis.com/...le-stella.html For something more trendy, there's the Cafe Brassac on the Ave. Kleber. http://www.bestrestaurantsparis.com/...e-brassac.html The Place Victor Hugo has ATMs, FYI, and it also has a metro stop, so if you head up that way, you don't have to go back to Trocadero to catch the metro. |
I did mean the metro stop so thank you not only for the clarification but all of the recommendations - I'm so excited! Anyone else?

also, our hotel is actually on Poincare if that helps anyone!

Le scheffer, 22 rue Scheffer, is an old favorite and priced reasonably for the area.

Cafe L'Homme at Trocadero is wonderful -- fabulous terrace if weather permits.
Also, Dokhan's Hotel on rue Lauriston just off Poincare has a champagne bar, which sounds like such fun, although I did not make it there in July. Have fun. (Have heard great things about Stella.) joy/luvparee |
I should "preview my replies" ........
The view of the Eiffel from the terrace at Cafe L'Homme (and probably inside with a window seat) is the best in Paris! joy/luvparee |

La table Lauriston, at 129 rue Lauriston was mentioned here not too long ago when another poster asked about places to eat in the neighbourhood. It seems to be very near your metro stop. Scroll down and find the summary and picture. Looks quite tempting.
http://tinyurl.com/qsglc While looking up this one I found rave reviews from French people on Victor et Capucine, 101 bis, Rue Lauriston. If you read French: http://tinyurl.com/olzeq And here too: http://www.voiceofacity.com/paris/?p=234 |
