Paris restaurants advice

We go to Paris on Oct 10. Two restaurants have been recommended by friends. I seek your additional opnion:

Benoit near the Rue de Rivoli-is it within walking distance of the Caron de Beaumarchais?

La Coupe Chou near the Sorbonne (What Metro stop might it be near and if you think it is any good.)

Has our favorite Le Pamphlet in the Marais reopened?

Thanks as always.

Anthony

I would pass on Le coupe chou, we found it definetly under-whelming, though the setting is pleasant. Food was mediocore at best and that's pushing it!

I would also pass on Le Coupe Chou. We ate there in January and the food was medoicre at best - which, for being in PARIS of all places, is unacceptable.

You couldn't go wrong with our favorite place, though - Bistrot d'Opio. We loved it so much we ate there twice on our trip!

tara..I read your report and I put Bistroit d'Opio on my list for next month!

I also would pass on Le Coupe Chou. Our meal was very disappointing and service mediocre.

I had dinner last summer at Le Coupe Chou. While the food was not outstanding, it was very good and service was satisfactory. However, I find that there have been alot of negative comments since that time. Things obviously went downhill.

8 rue Guisarde in the 6th, roughly between St Sulpice and Marche St Germain....

I've never been there but if you stil want to go to le Coupe Chou, it is closest to the Maubert metro stop.
