Any recommendations of moderately priced restaurants in Paris if there is such a thing.

If you do a search on this board you will find hundreds of recommendations for restaurants in all budget ranges. it would help, however, to know what "moderately priced" means to you.

How about 100 Euro for two people in the French Quarter?

A search is always good, no need to repeat things everytime.

I'm guessing you meant "Latin Quarter". (otherwise, they're ALL "French" quarters, lol)

My favorite moderately priced are:

L' Arome Restaurant
Bocconi Trattoria Italiana
Fellini Italian Restaurant (a good one to visit on Sunday when so many places are closed)
L'Os à Moelle - A must, a bit out of town but worth it!
Wa Sushi Restaurant

Market Restaurant (I don't recall the price range, may be a bit on the expensive side)


Cafe de l'Esplanade - I just had breakfast here, but it was very nice. Lunch menu looked good too.

Your statement "if there is such a thing" indicates you may not be aware of MANY MANY good restaurants in Paris where food is great and not expensive.

or a Dining Experience 20-50E

50E pp is quite adequate for dinner in Paris.

Most folks would consider "moderate" to be 30E pp or less.

Definitely try Le Christine. They have a 40-euro fixed-price menu (less if you don't want dessert).

Small place with lots of charm. Good food and service.

I don't know that I'd say 30 euro or less is a "moderate" dinner nowadays in Paris, if that includes everything, like drinks. I'd say more like 30-50 euro is moderate.

The past May Ms. Bear and I had lunch and (three weeks later) dinner at Le Buisson Ardent (The Burning Bush)--close to the Jussieu metro. It is the only restaurant we went to a second time during a month-long visit to Paris. We enjoyed it a lot. The front dining room is decorated like an elegant Parisian apartment salon. If you Google it, you will find some reviews in English.

30€ per person for dinner is already above my range for what I consider to be a "moderate" restaurant. Dinner for 2 usually (not always) comes in under 50€ when I go out. But I am not looking for things like "romantic" which tourists often seek out. I am after "good."
