Paris Restaurants 20-24E per person?
 

My husband and I will be in Paris next week and are in search of restaurants with great food around 20-25E per person. We are staying in the 8th on the Champs Elysees, but at a great associate rate so don't think we are made of money. Any of your assistance is greatly appreciated. I understand we may need to eat in other neighborhoods b/c the restaurants near the hotel will be touristy and $$$$. Thank You!!

I'd recommend Les Feuillades. Totally adorable, small, neighborhood-y, very French, and a 22E fixed price, three course menu. Yum!

There are many, many local restaurants in central Paris for your budget. The key is to try to order "le menu" which is a set price meal..it is really a good value. Secondly, try to avoid the really touristy spots..an English menu is a bad sign.

I don't think it's too hard to find a fixed price menu for 25E, if you just stroll and read menus posted outside of places that look attractive to you. That's how we found a little restaurant on Ille St. Louis we especially liked-- Le Caveau de L'Isle ( http://www.lecaveaudelisle.com/). The service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and perfectly fit our notion of a Parisian restaurant. The food was great. Our fixed prix was 25E, I think.

La Table D'Aligre is located a few blocks behind the new opera at Bastille. This restaurant was noted in Bon Appetite a few years ago. I have had some great meals there. Open about 7:30 for dinner and also open for lunch. I would recommend a reservation.

This is an excellent Bistro/Wine bar, and is very attractive. You will get 3 courses for 25.50€ plus a good selection of wine is available. Reserve ahead and ask to sit on the ground floor, the basement seating isn't as nice.

Some of my 11th and 12th arrondissement favorites in those listings, like C'Amelot, Square Trousseau and Astier, which I mentioned above. But the prices strike me as a little understated.

It's been a few years but we thought Les Allobroges in the 20th was the best value dinner of our trip. Rue des Grands Champs.

Thats not a lot of money for a meal in Paris.

One of my favorites. High quality and beautifully served food at a reasonable price. This bistro also has friendly service and a warm atmosphere. 3 course lunch or dinner is 19.95 euro. I've been there 3 times and I have never been disappointed.

Listed below are the totals of our dining out in Paris in January, including wine: (for 2 people)

Le Pre Verre 77€ 3 courses are 25.50€ each.1 bottle of wine included

Le Coupe Chou 85.70€ We ordered off the la carte menu since the "menu" wasn't of good quality. We only ordered 1 50 cl of wine here.

Le Caveau de l'Isle Which was very good,69.80€ with 1/2 bottle of cotes du rhone. Menu here is 24.95€ each for 3 courses. The duck was much better than the lamb.

Au Bascou Excellent 86.00€ including a bottle of excellent wine. Menu is carte here, not a fixed price 3 course menu. We ordered 2 entrees and 2 main courses and only 1 dessert to share. It was plenty! Address is 38, rue Reamur in the 3rd. Tel. 01 42 72 69 25

Florimond and Petit Trocquet are a bit more these days==closer to 33€. they have crept on up.

hmmm, my prices listed for Florimond and Le Petit were accurate from my trip in November 2005.
