Paris Restaurants

Has anyone been to the recently re-opened Jules Verne restaurant? If so, how was it? Also, has anyone been to Tour D'Argent lately?

Hi B,

Tour d'Argent has been reduced to only 1*, although it still has 3* prices.

There have been a few threads here about going to a lunch service instead of dinner service at high end restaurants. Smaller bill, but still get some of the same experience.

Well, not exactly all that recent but I did have lunch at Tour d'Argent a few years ago. It was a most agreeable experience although now M. Terrail has now passed on things may not be as they were. Their celebrated duck for two is included on the lunch menu only with payment of a supplement, and is only available for two persons. If you do not care about having that duck dish, I think they have a formula for about 70 Euro which allows choice of dishes in each course.

oh no.. Ducasse has remade the restaurant and there probably isn't a 'plat' for 70€ now...

....about $108 for lunch and $216 for dinner, without wine....
