Paris restaurant websites to check out and reserve?
I have received some great restaurant recommendations for our very short trip to Paris from the experts on Fodors.
I have spent several hours tonight trying to locate websites for some of them (Bistrot de Bretiuel at Place du Bretuiel, Au Bon Acceuil, Le P'Tit Trouquet for example) and cannot find anything.. Please help if possible. |
Not sure but you might try www.reservethebest.com and see if any of them are listed there.
|
Reserve the Best website url has changed ..the new one is http://www.bestrestaurantsparis.com/
However the 3 you listed are not on their lists. You might just try calling them for reservations using a 10 10 number or have your hotel make the booking for you. If you call your hotel to do it, make sure you already have the restaurants phone number to give them,it saves them time looking it up and they are more likely to do it quickly. |

Wow!!!!! Several hours.....don't know what you were doing for RIGHT HERE on Fodors Paris restaurants you have both Au Bon Accueil AND Le Petit Trouquet both listed and REVIEWED. As for Le Bistrot de Breteuil have you tried Google, Zagat or most any search sites? |
Reserve the best, still automatically links to bestrestaurantsparis. Be aware that although they seem to accept and make reservations for you, if you do not provide a local phone number in Paris they will not make the reservations. My "account" with them showed they had made reservations, yet none of the restaurants were aware of such. Finally I received an email from bestrestaurantsparis telling me they couldn't make the reservations since I hadn't provided my hotel's number (I was staying in an apartment and when I made the reservations, I didn't have a number for it).

Bistrot de Breteuil (note spelling) has a website http://www.bistro-et-cie.fr/bistro_breteuil.html

The easiest (and most reliable way) is to call the restaurants directly, or call your hotel concierge to do it for you.
|
I aggree with bb. Use the phone. Sometimes they ask for a Paris telephone number and request you confirm the day before.

Just to let you know, bestrestaurantsparis.com does not have on line booking available until September. I have been trying to use them and finally recieved an email from them saying just that.
|
P'tit Troquet Tel: 01 47 05 80 39, Fax: 01 47 05 80 39
Au Bon Accueil Tel: 01 47 05 46 11 You can e-mail your list to your hotel and ask if they could make the reservations for you. |
Oh, yeah, BIG help, Bigal. :o( Did you ever come to NC.

Hi Ralstonlan,
I didn't receive anything from BestRestaurantsParis on their future on-line booking :( Do you know how will it works ? May we process real-time reservation ? Thanks, Denis |
Even if you go to the old address of www.reservethebest.com you will automatically be redirected to www.bestrestaurantsparis.com
|
I remember on the old reservethebest.com site, they listed the restaurant's phone number so you could actually call them yourself. Individual restaurant phone numbers aren't listed on their new site. But it's still useful for swanning around to look at the pictures and read the menus. I pick out restaurants that seem to be what we'd like, then check for their phone numbers in my Michelin red guide to Paris.

DenisF-
All I know is that they are not in service until September 1, 2006. Looks as though they are simply on vacation. You can still go to the website and see what restaurants they have listed, just cannot reserve until September. |
We are going to Paris next May. Why are these considered good restaurants? Are they very expensive or just really good food at a good price. Please let me know. Thanks!

pattyshearts: Restaurants listed at bestrestaurantsparis.com are those which use that reservation service. Many, but not all, of the best are listed, and there are many listed which are not top restaurants but are excellent dining establishments.
Note that the menus on the website are not necessarily the entire menu. The menus are more a sample of the cuisine and prices. Many restaurants have web links now where you can find the complete menu. Even so, menus change constantly. But, you can still get an idea of the prices. Anyway, you can reserve online, and there is a number in Paris to call should you need to cancel, or should you wish to wait to reserve after you've arrived. |
