Paris restaurant reviews

I seem to remember reading on this forum about someone who lives in Paris several months each year (maybe a university/college professor?) and who writes excellent reviews on cheap and moderately priced restaurants in Paris. I didn't save this information at the time, and now wish I had, so please can anyone tell me more......

I don't know if this is the one you mean...but Pim does review moderate restaurants and bistros

I think you mean Maurice Naughton at chowhound.com He is a retired professor and sends out a mostly daily e-mail when he stays in Paris. Here is one of his responses with some restaurants. You can do your own search at chowhound. http://www.chowhound.com/boards/intl...ges/14436.html

Wow! I'm a 'budget' diner but even I couldn't muster the nuts to scoop my remaining bourguignon into a ziplock!

Thank you, Jody, for Chez Pim. What a grand blog! Pim is sharp and literate, and so are her Daily Reads — new links to fritter away more precious time. I am doomed.

I think the site you're looking for is Tom's Guide to Paris

Thank you everybody.

Chowhound is the one that sets bells ringing, but I shall check out the others too.

My mouth is already watering at the thought of good cheap food in Paris!
