Paris restaurant recommendations
I'm looking for a trendy restaurant in Paris that serves bistro fare. Not looking for haute cuisine. Any suggestions?

Really, have you even searched on this website for probably a hundred threads that deal with this?

I am afraid that the trendy crowd rarely wants traditional bistro fare.
Semilla is a new, trendy restaurant with a trés modern twist on bistro fare. http://findingnoon.com/?p=281 Racines in the Passage des Panoramas is very good, more traditional and a bit less trendy. Best steak I've every had in my life. |
I can second Cafe Constant and throw in les cocottes, as well. Not sure which part of Paris you will be in. Chez Janou may also suit you for bistro fare, but I wouldn't say it is trendy. Le Comptoir is the 6th is a favorite of ours and a big part of the bistronomy movement.

Au Petit Panisse -delicious traditional French dishes, definitely off the beaten path and tourist-free, great ambience.
