Paris Restaurant recommendations
Looking for some help to avoid the tourist traps for dinners in Paris please. Ideal is a quaint bistro with great french food at a reasonable price. Not looking for Michelin star, upscale type of place, just your favorite neighborhood place you would go with friends for a good meal.
I'd like something in the Montmartre area on a Tuesday evening (bonus if its a bit romantic) and the harder Monday night reservation - perhaps something near the Louvre, or Latin Quarter or even near my hotel in the 10th not far from Gare de Nord. Your help is much appreciated! |
Look up La Ferme du Rail and instead of taking the prix fixe, go for the varying platters meant for more than one. It's inexpensive, part of a social experiment; the associated housing is split between homeless and student housing.

FOr Monday night consider Le Cosi on rue Cujas, a place with great food and service and reasonable prices. It's one of our favorites.

A few of our favorites. Breakfast at Bolangerie Poilane behind the Hotel Lutetia. Lunch at Bouillon Chartier Montparnasse, I love the historic ambience and food. Dinner at Chez Rene in St. Germain, a classic old school bistro.
