Paris restaurant in "Perception"

Did anyone recognize the Paris restaurant shown on the tv show Perception last night? Looked very nice

I DVR'd the rerun of this show and once I was able freeze the screen I realized that the restaurant was Le Train Bleu. We had lunch there a few years ago -- should have immediately recognized it. Thought I'd answer my own question in case anyone else was wondering.

Beautful restaurant and highlighted in a number of films.

I believe it is supposed to close soon for renovation.

I thought it was going to be closed now. I happened to be in the Gare de Lyon a few days ago and seeing the restaurant open, I stopped by to check their hours of operation. No mention of the closure. I next checked their website and saw no notice of the closure there either.

Either they are now keeping the closure a secret or they have delayed it.

From the Website: http://www.le-train-bleu.com/uk/index.php

"Our establishment will be closed exceptionally for renovation works this summer from June 29th to September 15th 2014"

I've never gotten there, it's always been on the part of the list that's "oh, well...next time!" We arrive Paris Sept 15th!! I think it just went on the must-do list! Thanks so much for posting!

vanne,
when is your trip, I was wondering if you liked the apartment.

vanne Jun 25th, 2014 03:48 PM

Emmie119 - Not till October; will report on it. Based on all the great info we got when I was trying to decide on staying in the area near Invalides we're going to try using the bus system -- on previous trips we've either used the Metro or walked.

Which restaurant? The one at the beginning when they are sitting outside and you can see the Eiffel Tower? I was wondering about that one.

I've been to Le Train Bleu a couple of times years ago but just to look inside when I had a train to catch.

We were at "Le Train Bleu" a few days ago and yes they are closing on the 29th.
We had been there before and wanted to take our GD to that fabulous room.

One thing I must mention is that the weather was hot and it was extremely hot in the restaurant. It is a very old building after all. It does look a bit tired and in need of a renovation.

It reopens on Sept 15th.
