Paris Restaurant
 

Hi,
Off to Paris tomorrow(very last minute) and would like a couple of suggestions for reasonable priced restaurants for dinner. We are staying at Marriott Rive Gauche (ebay deal!) and would like to have somewhere to eat that is easy to get back to the hotel afterwards.

emmap - I think anywhere in Paris is easy to get back to. I wish we had the fantastic metro & bus system they have!! There is always a taxi around if things go beyond public transport hours.

What's your budget?

The Marriott is in the 14th. I have stayed there several times on points (what's an EBAY deal?) Anyway, just to let you know there is a Metro line half a block away and it's very easy to get anywhere in Paris from there.

There aren't a lot of "great" resturants right near the hotel, but as a solo traveler I have never had any trouble just jumping on the Metro and heading back to the hotel.

Its a quite area that seems fairly safe to me.

I am not a foodie so I will leave that part to others.

One of my constant recommendations is Le Cosi, 9 rue Cujas in the 5th. Great Corsican menu, welcoming ambiance, moderate prices.

There are quite a few good restaurants around Montparnasse / Vavin area.
