Paris - Ready Or Not, Here We Come
 

This evening we check into the hotel near the airport, and at 5:00AM tomorrow we'll take their shuttle to SFO. We arrive in Paris 7:20AM Friday, for four wonderful weeks.

I want to thank all of you for your help, humor, and comraderie. Planning the trip is half of the fun (and agony).

Words from this overpacker, as we leave the house for the last time, I always say, 'if we've forgotten it, we don't need it'.

I promise to post a trip report in October.

We're going to Paris on Saturday and are as excited as you are! Haven't been there for 30 years. Hope you have a wonderful trip - the weather looks great.

ggnga and muskova, have good flights and a wonderful stay. Bring rain gear ... rain is forcast starting later this week.

We are doing the night Segway tour on on the 14th, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. They go rain or shine, no refunds. Their website says that if it rains they give you ponchos. They _just_ told me that they don't have any ponchos YET, so we should bring our own rain gear. So if anyone else is taking one of their prepaid tours, be forewarned.

At least the poor pedestrian that I run over won't be able to identify me in a downpour :-)

Has anyone invented teeny weeny windshield wipers for glasses????

I may be wet and cold but I'll be wet and cold in Paris - for the umpteenth time ... I just love being able to say that ;-)
