I am duly impressed with your recollection of your trip....such detail- you must have kept a diary or something! The trip sounds so COOL; perhaps the rest of your family can tag along next time?!!

David: Great report. Do you remember how you got reservations for the D'Argouges hotel in Bayeux? Sounds like a real bargain. Thanks

A wonderful report - really enjoyed reading it. I have taken 2 trips to Paris in the past year, and next time am planning to go to Provence, so I'm busy getting as much info on that as I can. Arles sounds better than Avignon as a base, but I don't want to rent a car, as I'll be solo, so hope I can take buses and train around. After your report of Bayeux, I will be sure to do that at some point! Thanks for your great report.

Hi David, I really enjoyed your nicely written and informative report.

I'm leaving in a few weeks and, after reading your post, I'm a bit concern about the size of my rented car: a Ford Focus, "Ambiante"...it should be the size of a station wagon...

Do you think that "we" (my boyfriend is the official driver) will have trouble navigating in Provence and the Luberon regions ??

Thanks !

Thanks for the kind responses to my postings; it's amazing what can be written at 3 a.m. as a result of jet lag!
Larry: We booked our room at Hotel d'Argouges in Bayeux a number of months ago and it seemed like a popular hotel, especially with British tourists, so you might have difficulty getting something for the near future. Their e mail address is: [email protected]
Good luck.
