Paris "Plus Size" shopping??

Does anyone know of "plus size" clothing shops in Paris? I have never seen a plus-sized Frenchwoman, but thought this was a good place to ask before I leave later this week.

There have been a few threads previously on this topic, which you can find by typing "plus size AND paris" into the text box at the top of this page. Here are a couple of the most recent:

Lesli, thanks for your response. My search must have gone awry.

As a kind of funny addition to this post, I will add that French babies, also, must be smaller boned than their American counterparts: I just bought a 2T dress for my 16 mo. old granddaughter in Galleries Lafayettes, and it verges on being tight through the chest, and although tall, she is not a "plus size" baby. We're hoping she'll still fit into it by Easter!

You're most welcome, Julie. The search function here is finicky; you definitely need the word "and" in there - otherwise it will only pull up threads containing the *exact* phrase....

My search phrase found several other threads in addition to those I linked to, so try it again and enjoy! :)

I lived in Paris for several years and wore a size 12 (American) at the time. It was very difficult to find anything out of the ordinary in my size, and what I found was usually on the dowdy or flashy side. That was several years ago and perhaps a few more stylish shops have opened. However, give the fall in the dollar in relation to the Euro and the choices available, I can't imagine it would be worth your time and effort. Salespeople in French stores are also not very receptive to a full-figured woman and I always felt uncomfortable looking for clothes until I found the (now closed) Marks and Spencer Store across from Galleries Lafayette. Enjoy Paris but buy your clothes elsewhere :)

I may have posted this on one of the threads, but on

You can search under business type, find the category, enter Paris, and some places will come up.
