I never followed up about the Madame Gres show at the Musee Bordelle. It was AMAZING! Her designs were interspersed throughout the museum, sort of in a visual dialogue with Bordelle's sculptures. Absolutely incredible. And as an added bonus, Jean Paul Gaultier was actually there at the same time! Definitely a do-not-miss.

Nina - we went to the Bourdelle today and the M Gres exhibition was a big hit with both niece and myself. What a great museum, and the way the clothing was interspersed with the sculpture and other pieces was so very well conceived and executed.

If I recall correctly, there's an exhibit of costumes in the Opéra Garnier that's wonderful. It's been a few years, but I think it was in the basement or a lower floor.
