Paris pharmacy name???

A few weeks ago I came across a thread on which people were talking about a particularly good pharmacy in Paris. It seemed to be one that people always returned to just to look and browse through for really neat things.

Does anyone know what the pharmacy is or remember the thread? Thanks.

I'm not sure as I did not see that post. All I can think of is Drugstore Publicis on the Champs Elysees. http://www.publicisdrugstore.com

We always called it Fouhety's but the actual name on the sign is City Pharmacie..on the corner of rue Bonaparte and rue du Four

That's the one. The prices are lower than most other pharmacies and everyone in Paris knows it, so the place is always mobbed. Be prepared to wait in a very long line to make your purchases! (no matter what time of day you go)

Thanks everybody that is the name I wanted. I can see myself in there spending a whole day try to browse (impossible as you say) but I love that type of shopping!
The thread was called does anyone have a favorite French cosmetic? I googled Pharmacie Fouhety ~o)

After all these years I find that the place I go to for Tylenol and Codeine is a tourist destination! :)

Ira! you fought your way thru all those women for Tylenol!! I hope you didn't think they were all there for headache remedies!

It's ALWAYS my 1st stop when we get to paris!

Hi J,

Tylenol and Codeine. It's Rx only in the US.

I admit to not bothering to look at the surroundings. I just walk up to the pharmacy counter, get my stuff and leave.

After all, if you've seen one drug store, you've seen 'em all.

They do have very interesting ads for skin products, though.

Hi I!

Yes ..in addition to all my cosmetics and perfumes..I do hit the pharmacy window at CP!! My allergy nasal spray cost 1/4 of what I pay in the US and no RX!! And I get a big discount in the US as I am a pharmacist!

But all those other goodies run up the tab!!

I bought 3 tubes of my favorite hand cream in Feb, should have been enough to last a year but it's been nasty here and it's almost gone! I need another trip to Paris!

<<We always called it Fouhety's but the actual name on the sign is City Pharmacie..on the corner of rue Bonaparte and rue du Four>>

This place is skin care heaven. Nearly all the products have ingredients, directions for use, etc., printed in English also on the packaging. And, many of the sales clerks speak English. Great accessories, too. I picked up a magnificent travel mirror - hand held with a stand, magnified on one side, regular on the other, which goes everywhere with me. If you see something you want here at a good price, grab it! You may not find it anywhere else later.

I send my husband to Deux Magots and shop away!
